JORDAN CONLAN

Jordan is a designer and craftsperson based in Naarm (Melbourne), working across both furniture and objects; his practice interrogates the role of objects in our everyday lives in communicating ideas and connections.

Through stages of deep research and experimentation, his work pulls from historical contexts, architectural forms, and the Australian landscape, resulting in the development of objects that balance their utilitarian use with materiality, craftsmanship and storytelling.

Currently exploring the relationship between historical events and newly formed objects, amid commissioned works & personal projects.
